Simulation of life

Gaming is considered silly by many people. However gaming can trace history of technology uprising. Gaming console has became main household technology. For example In Nov 17th Playstation 3 has ability of household computer and also has abilty to play blu ray dvds. Playstation 3 is litterally multi- talented technological device.
Technology has leaped over past 20 years. From Duck Hunt, Frogger, Tetris, or Mario Brothers to internet connected multiplayer games such as Halo and other sport mutiplayer games.
However most impressive technology advancement so far has to be simulation of life. Nintendo DS portable gaming device, has a game called Nintendogs. The game allows to grow a dog in its device, the dog signals for its hunger, boredom, and other emotions. Not only gamers are allowed litterally call and pet the dog. It is literally taking over life form of a dog. This might not be the ideal religious related or not even religious to the course material .For some people, bonding with an animal is one of spirtual connection between human beings and animals. Essence of life form can be replaced with ability of technology such as this.

Which one would you prefer$40 for unbreakable, forever lasting dog OR $300 for living, open to attract various disease and limited life span dog?

Batteries sold seperately.

technology: tool of humanity?

Word play explanation of what technology is not necessarily important.
It is coincidence of signal, and signifier symbolism complexity.
This article is by far the most interesting I’ve read for this course.
It is definite fact technology is considered as a tool. I considered it nothing more or nothing less than what it is.
However, what if...
it might sound ridiculous to say, but like the matrix what if technology take over humanity might be possible after all. Man can use the tool he has to reveal the truth. After finding the truth, existence of God, or whatever it might be. Then what happens next?
Ability of technology could easily surpass ability of man. Then comes in possibility of the world of Matrix.
Obsession of finding or revealing the answer: the truth. Does anybody really want to know the truth?
What do people want to hear God does exist? Doesn’t exist? Then what?
Instead of questioning what we want to know such thing as existence of God, higher power, or whatever it might be we want to know through religion or rituals, are we as human beings to ready to face the truth?
I don’t think so.

Out with X in with Y

Let's refer to ancient times, where religion was the way to live. As in people breathe and lived by the rules of thier religion.
However our modern day generation, to be recognized as religious person is by getting a tattoo of a Cross or any religious symbol on thier right arm.
Religion might be fading, since technology provide more answer to the way how our nature operates. People might have more faith in technology because it provides results, clarifies the questions society seeks to find.

Szerszynski's article refers religion as social phenomena which can high be developed or disappear. It is considered as one of things created from society such as sports, marriage, and etc. I don't agree or disagree with the statement from the article, however like I have mentioned above religion became less serious than what it was in the past, our modern days considers religion as more of a cultural resource.

My personal opinion is religious people after long years of practising faith have lost their faith and started to depend on technology because it provide the answers. If religion is indeed one of 'cultural resource' those who prayed in belief of finding eternal answers weren't rewarded with an answer, which lead many people society to become faithless. Then this led for those to rely on something else in 'cultural resource': fast rising technology.

P.S. Just to satisfy my curiousity I would love to see a scientist to prove, how did a toated bread had an image of Mother Terisa. I want the answer with scientifical proof, since WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.

One step closer...

Personally
I would consider myself as spiritual person, and not religious. BUT sometimes I can be religious.
Also
Personally
I think it is ridiculous to identify existence of religion or anything that matters relates to God through scientific process.

THIS IS MY OPINION AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE PROOF ME WRONG AT THE END OF THIS COURSE. If you can.

Yes this is just a study case which illustrates the result of its study, not the absolute answer to existence of God.

This study might be only categorizing people rather than really explaining religion or spirituality.
This scientific study or whatever it might be, it is only provide observer with numbers to play with the statistics.

There is no such thing as right or wrong answer. However there is a popular answer. This does not imply minority should be ignored; this is just the way how society works: Majority always wins.

Quest to find the answer to existence of God, or higher power, is like finding answer to Pi sequence. It doesn’t necessarily mean it is infinite, but it is just never ending process.
Many theories or studies do make progress to find an answer to the unsolvable question. At same time there are ones completely misfires; which doesn’t make any progress.
In this specific science case study is complete misfire to making process to find answer; even though the purpose of this scientific case study might not be to provide answer to question of existence of God, or high power. All it accomplished was to collect random data base, or stats.
