cult or new age?

To my opinion, the new age developed, because lack of development in religion; as in civilization has lived many years following the prophecy given by religion. However, I believe many people came to realize there is no one but yourself to control your own destiny. I think new age symbolizes humanity’s attempt to reach transcendence beyond life. This does not necessarily reflect afterlife, but the new age movement is symbolism of humanity’s attempt to inspire new tradition: religious tradition. There should be a border line of what is considered as what is new age movement and what is cult. I always wonder what is Scientology is considered as cult or religion. Can Scientology be considered as new age movement? Since Scientology has developed recently it is fair to say this is a new movement which is part of new age as well?
To me it is not clear to define new movement as new age or cult.

UFOLOGY

Personally, I don’t believe in ufology at all. I personally think this is one of most stupid theology ever. Yet again, I am a human being so I have my flaws so I could be wrong. Ufology is either religious or scientific; it is mostly obsessed by popular culture. Some people might consider ufology can transcend us human beings to most wonderful place ever ( the woman who appeared in clip of the documentary during the presentation), however if parallel universe exists there has to be opposite of most wonderful place. Hence, transcendence of ufology does not necessarily mean happiness.
One thing I believe ufology qualify as more of religion, because ufology works in same principle of typical religion. People have faith in values of the unknown can possibly transcend human beings to next level. People have obsession in the factor of the unknown, they believe something positive will come in having faith in ufology.
Only reason ufology does not have same establishment of typical religions like Christianity, Hinduism, or Hebrew because ufology is recent discovery which does not have strong back bone in history of civilization. If obsession of ufology continues in the future it might be possible for ufology to have its own place in religion.

Obsession of unknown. Human beings are fascinated with spirituals of the dead. Either spirituality is true or not, it is intirigue theory as us human beings believe. Myth of spirits living beyond life is another obsession similar to religion. In most of religions, many people believe life beyond life:afterlife. Transcend ability of human life continues through heaven or hell, ressuraction, or incarnation. However spirituality lies in ability of a human being, this is not something beyond greater human existence, or God. This is continuation of exiting life through life form. In my point of view, this is another belief for human beings to believe there are more to life what we are know of: afterlife.

Politics of Islam

There are various different elements between Western society and Islam society. They function based on different perception of life: politics, ethics, religion and social values.
In western religion such as Christian or Catholics does not value human being it self.
For example in case of organ donation, Christians will value organ donors for forwarding life toward other person. However such as one of Islamic country will forbid organ donation, because every creation of God should be returned in same form as it was given.
If Islam countries does not like the idea of adopting latest scientific developments composed by western country, and the politician in the country are denying further development of science in their country what is it purpose of Islamic countries to achieve through science.
Islamic countries already have strong ethics and moral values based on their religion. It is not matter of science it self is the main problem in Islamic countries. Unlike western society the argument of science vs religion, Islamic countries are in battle of politics vs religion.
It is in power of politics society of Islam denies further development of science.
In my personal observation Islam share same problem of science and religion, but mainly Islam's problem is affected by Political climate.

I think it is possible to calculate consciousness.
Human beings are limited creature, there are certain limits of what human beings can do or achieve. Consciousness is not a infite subject, because consciousness of human beings might exist within internal mind of human beings: still human beings it self is limited creature.
There are certain factors which causes human beings' consciousness. It is possible to trace, calculate, or examine those characteristics of consciousness.
However in terms of challenging the the term "Human" will remain the same, because Universal computer only understands the characteristics of consciousness, does not know how to function involving consciouness to its own action.
It would only recreate those consciusness in the same form it is experienced in a human.
From scratch, let's be logical.
It would require a human beings to understand the characteristics of consciousness, which would be calculated through technological device. This does not indicate technology understanding the mind of a human being, it only implies human beings are understanding about themselves, or each other.
There are certain movements, actions, emotions, or whatever it might be it can be calculated, because as I mentioned before human beings are limited.

Children of Men

I’m going to start by illustrating brief synopsis of up coming film Children of Men.
The film is set in a near future where the human race has lost its ability to reproduce; England descends into chaos when the world's youngest citizen dies at 18. The protagonist of the film is given a mission to save the woman who is pregnant. The woman is about to give a first child in 27 years.

I thought this film can be related to theme of our readings this week.
There is thousands ways for a human being to die, but there is only one way for a human being to be born. What if the reality of our modern world turns into the world of Children of Men?
If human beings loose the ability to reproduce, what is going to happen? Are we going to extinct?
The article tackles on the issue of self preservation and the moralities which is based on. However will the argument change if its not self preservation, but it is preservation of human race.
What if cloning is the solution to continuation of human reproduction. Religious groups are going to allow science to develop cloning? Is religion going to change their perception of cloning in order to continue existence of human beings, or extinct race of human beings by sticking to their perspectives?
Current circumstance of the world does not need cloning, but it need to develop its ability to perfection in case of emergency such as the world of Children of Men becomes reality.

Religion is the limit

Religion is one of longest tradition in existence of humanity the longest period, (some might say still is) religion is the answer to many unanswered questions has provided level of comfort for many people in modern period, where comfort level provided by religion is being challenged by biotechnology is causing a problematic is being limited to its full potential due to religion, stem-cell research, or blood fusion all of these are forbidden by religion. Religion advocates biotechnology attempt to change the course of nature.
Personally many people won't like my ideas.
Religion is the source of comfort. People believe religion, because it allows them to feel comfortable while they are in spiritual state. The main reason religion is against biotechnology is that biotechnology is going to disrupt level of comfort provided my religion for many years. Regardless of either biotechnology brings the right answer, or complete wrong answer. It is the idea of challenging its traditional idea is being considered as wrong. There is only one way for a human being to be born, but biotechnology can possibly change that concept. Biotechnology will provide the answer immediately, which can cause havoc at any moment. Religion is being challenged by new source: technology. Oldest tradition is being examined by its ability of new technology.
I totally agree with Dawkins. I say yes to biotechnology, because like the rest of humanity religion doesn't provide the answer right now,it is saving its answer ahead much further. Until what point us human being has to limit our selves because of old tradition. We as humanity is never going to find out as human beings has more power than what we think we have by limiting ourselves. Since we have ability to explore and further develope our ability as human beings to find the answers. I don't care whatever the answer might be, i want to know the truth. As human beings are we able to control the course of nature by our power, or power of God.
